Agnes Water and the Town of 1770

Apparently aptly named as this was the second place Captain Cook discovered in 1770!

Its such a small and friendly place where the locals really welcome backpackers!

Its not too much of a commercial place and all the activites here are so much cheaper than anywhere else.

I have had a surfing lesson which was mental! The waves are so strong and powerful that it was totally knackering! We had 3 hours altogether and I really enjoyed it even though I was crap! Ended up getting injured, you know me! I have been hobbling now for the last few days, think I may have strained it..oops! Just goes to show exercise isnt good for ya!

Also been on a plane ride in a Cessna where I was the co pilot and got the chance to drive it down the runway and take over the controls at 2000 feet! Bruce the pilot was crazy and had us doing all sorts of acrobatics in the air, where things were flying around inside the plane above your head! Great!

We landed on this private beach, nobody around and we had oysters that he broke off the rocks and washed....they tasted rancid to be honest but had to try them! Also held a crab! Then it was back home with some more moves in the air! fantastic!
I have met some great people here and we have been hanging around in a big gang, nobody wanted to leave and kept staying for another night and then another! Now there is just 4 of us left so we need to make new friends again! All moved into the same dorm and we intend to take over this hostel again!

I have just noticed I didnt post this earlier, so the update on the foot situation is that its broken!! Nightmare so Im on crutches now for 3 to 4 weeks! So not many activities at the moment, lots of rest and sunbathing....hard life indeed!
